To most anglers, Louisiana is known as the mecca of redfish. There is no doubt they have us beat in numbers but not in size. Panama City Beach can hold it’s own when bull redfish are the conversation! Regulation and conservation has made this fishery a true success story. What was primarily a seasonal fishery in the Fall and Winter of years past, has now become a year round opportunity featuring non other than big reds.
Gary Beckett and his son Shawn enjoyed an incredible day with me as we targeted the bulls of St. Andrews Bay. Six bull redfish were boated between the two. They each caught their biggest fish to date, with fish measuring 32 inches in length. There is nothing like battling these monsters on light tackle. Another incredible day, spent fishing with awesome people on the waters of Panama City Beach!
This was by far the best fishing trip EVER!!!! Capt. Vann knew exactly where the fish were and what to do to catch them. I would HIGHLY recommend Last Local Guide Service for your next fishing trip!
